South Dakota begins long trek to revamp water management
With South Dakota legislative season set to kick off, know what water management issues are on the table! The South Dakota legislature has proposed a Water Management Task Force, which splits the state into 11 river basin areas. These areas will elect task force members to regulate water management. One of these regions is The Big Sioux River Basin. According to the Bill, this region includes: portions of Brookings, Clark, Clay, Codington, Day, Deuel, Grant, Hamlin, Kingsbury, Lake, Lincoln, Marshall, McCook, Minnehaha, Moody, Roberts, Turner, and Union counties.To read more about this, read Janelle Atyeo's article in the Tri-State Neighbor Reporter.
