Recovery is Possible

Shell Creek, in Northeastern Nebraska, became the first recorded river to be removed from the Impaired Waters list. After 12 years of conservation practices, including no-till farming, cover crops, and buffer strips, the river's water and aquatic life are healthier than they've been in decades.
