Wetland Enhancement Project

In conjunction with the South Dakota Department of Transportation, Plymouth County (Iowa) Board of Supervisors approved a nine acre deed that will contribute to the 300-acre EC Lipke Wetland Complex along the Big Sioux River.The SD DoT approached the Plymouth County Conservation director. The director stated "A few of our areas that we manage over off of Highway 12, along the Big Sioux River, appeal to [South Dakota], and they kind of came to us and more or less pitched the idea if we were willing to work with them."To learn more, visit the Le Mars Daily Sentinel.
