Go Green to Save Green Forum by SoDak 350

  • Sioux Falls Downtown Library 200 North Dakota Avenue Sioux Falls, SD, 57104 United States (map)

The "Go Green to Save Green" forum aims to break down the numbers on how much Sioux Falls households and business owners stand to save by adopting green technologies like electric vehicles, rooftop solar, heat pumps, and efficient buildings. We will hear from local experts in the energy and building industry, as well as local homeowners who have already made the switch, to walk us through what that process looks like.

The costs of clean energy and other climate-friendly technologies have come steadily down over the past decade. In many cases, these technologies are close to cost-competitive with their traditional fossil-fueled counterparts, and they help consumers save money on energy costs in the long run. With the passage of new federal incentives like the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), making the switch to green technologies is about to become more affordable than ever.

Featuring speakers from the University of South Dakota Department of Sustainability & Environment, Wegner Roofing & Solar, Koch Hazard Architects, Johnson Environmental, & Billion Nissan.

This event is free and open to the public. Food & beverages provided.

BYO mug and/or reusable water bottle for the chance to be entered into a prize drawing!

Co-sponsored by SoDak 350 and League of Women Voters of Sioux Falls
