  • Augustana University Froiland Science Complex 2001 South Summit Avenue Sioux Falls, SD, 57197 United States (map)

Event Location: Mikkelson Auditorium (FSC 113), Froiland Science Complex, Augustana University

Friends of the Big Sioux River, in collaboration with the Center for Western Studies at Augustana University, is excited to host a panel discussion centered around the newly released book, Heartland River: A Cultural and Environmental History of the Big Sioux River Valley.

We'll kick off the night with a presentation of our 2022 water quality testing data from around the Big Sioux River watershed. Jon Lauck, editor of Heartland River, will then moderate our panel discussion. Panelists will include select authors of the book and local water experts Jay Gilbertson, Travis Entenman, and Dave O'Hara. This portion of the event will be open to audience Q&A. To close out the evening, we will have time for audience discussion and networking.

All community members are invited to attend this free event. We look forward to seeing you there!
